I usually start my day by checking email and then perusing the front page of Reddit while enjoying my coffee. Reddit is a great site and can be thoroughly entertaining, but it can also be a bit daunting, especially to newcomers. It doesn’t take long in each thread to see a snarky response from one poster to another – “Cool story bro†is often seen throughout a thread. Redditors can be very serious about what’s posted on the site, even more serious about how the site operates.
Redditors come in all different types of personalities. Business Insider kindly put together a list of the 10 Types Of Reddit Users Everyone Hates. Redditors themselves are all too happy to talk about the different posters they don’t like.
A post by Nathan Steffel a few days ago proves that not everyone on Reddit is curmudgeonly. Steffel posted on the site asking for help:
My daughter recently passed away after a long battle in the children’s hospital. Since she was in the hospital her whole life we never were able to get a photo without all her tubes. Can someone remove the tubes from this photo?

Reddit’s Photoshop users came through. Some edited the photo to remove the tubes and others provided sketches. All of the pictures provided were beautiful.

Steffel himself was thrilled with the results:
This is really amazing. Everyone you have made my day. All I wanted was a nice picture. What I received was a lot of love and support from a bunch of strangers. A long with a lot of great photos, drawings and paintings. Thanks everyone!
If you haven’t given Reddit a try, you should. As it turns out, not everyone on there is a jerk.
